Service Description

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand upon your skills, come learn the art of hand embroidery! Bring in your own textile to personalize (garment, tote bag, pillowcase, etc) or work on scrap fabric provided by the studio. What you’ll learn: - basic embroidery stitches - how to transfer your designs onto fabric - tips and tricks for handling your embroidery floss Adrienne Morrow is a self taught hand embroiderer and fiber artist with a strong belief that embroidery has an important place in the practice of sustainability. She believes that embroidery is a powerful way to upcycle, personalize and renew our interest in pre-existing pieces of clothing or scrap fabric. Since reigniting her interest in embroidery in 2019, Adrienne enjoys making her own patches and personalizing her clothes. Since joining ricRACK’s team of instructors, she also loves skill sharing her knowledge so that students feel empowered to breathe new life into their own textiles and second hand fabrics.
